In 2017, the owners remodeled the home 100% inside and out; the property features all new furniture, premium bedding, stainless appliances, high quality cookware and utensils, ceiling fans in every room, new air conditioning, new plumbing fixtures…Everything is in perfect working order. If you enjoy 100% cotton, crisp, and primo quality linens, you will sleep very well here. Additionally, Sound+Sleep sound machines are provided in each bedroom. If you need anything, the owners live very close by and will respond immediately. Because the owners do all the cleaning and landscaping, the property is always kept in a state of perfection. If you need to stay in touch with the outside world, we have robust Wi-Fi which can deliver up to 70 Mbps. Bring your own kayaks or rent them at Spencer’s Canoes, which is only a half mile away. The kid-friendly kayak trip from our oasis to Staples, Texas takes about three hours. You can also float the crystal clear San Marcos River in San Marcos (Lion’s Club) or begin your river quest in Martindale and float for about an hour back to the property. If you are interested in fishing, there are several local fishing guides that specialize in fly fishing or you can walk down to the river, right behind the house, and do very well with a fly rig or conventional gear. The property is located in the quiet and family friendly “Falls at Martindale” subdivision. Take a morning walk or bike ride on the 1-1/2 mile long road which has no through traffic. The neighbors are friendly and we all look out for each other; it would be difficult to find a more serene and safe vacation environment. Generally, we restrict the capacity to a maximum of six people (keeping’ it serene and peaceful). However, if there are eight in your group, the garage loft can be rented for additional fees. You’ll find two guest rooms with queen beds off the back of the kitchen (same setup at both rentals). One of the two bedrooms also has a 32” flat screen TV and a door to a back deck, which overlooks the pool. These two bedrooms share the second full bath with granite counters and a tub/shower combination. You can pack light for this trip because a full washer and dryer are tucked in the back of the garage. Other amenities include free Wifi and cable. There is parking for four cars total in the driveways and one more in each of the garages (six cars total). THE LOCATION This condo is located in the heart of South Padre Island, just a quick walk to several beach access points.
